In certain instances, I can offer discounted rates to accommodate and create access for those with limited financial resources/global economic inequalities, first generation students etc. Contact me for additional details.
1 . "Best Practices" for Fulbright Scholar/Specialist Application Workshop
The Scholar or Specialist “Best Practices” workshop is 90 minutes in length. For 45 minutes I provide a presentation of best practices to get your application accepted through the lens of a seasoned Fulbright peer reviewer and alum. I will also note key mistakes commonly made on applications.

The final 45 minutes of the workshop is an open question/answer session where I can field any additional questions regarding the application process or more broadly questions about the Fulbright experience and expectations.
I will also provide my sample winning application (Project Statement, Short Answer Questions and CV) from my 2023-2024 media literacy teaching grant in Romania (as a PDF). It is important to see what an approved application looks like before you start writing. This service is only for American and foreign applicants.

2. General Phone/Zoom Fulbright Consultation
This is an open-ended question-and-answer session regarding grant options, general application process/tips, working/researching abroad, experience sharing, overcoming difficulties abroad, intercultural competence, post-Fulbright life, general coaching and mentoring etc. I do not offer formal workshops for Student or English Teaching Assistants (ETA) grants; however, I can accommodate similar questions with this consulting service. This service is open to all grant types including Scholar and Specialist. For American and non-American applicants. A Zoom link will be sent to you upon email confirmation of this service.

3. Application Reviewing: The Basic
I carefully read your application materials and offer an overview of general tips to improve the application as needed. For this service, I do not do line edits (see the Deep Reading option for this service). I am investigating spelling/grammar, overall flow, completeness (you are answering all the questions), overall blind spots (and how to correct them), the project proposal makes sense, is feasible, benefits to host and home country are clearly articulated, and vital cultural preparedness/intercultural competence, local project fit etc. I also ensure you are really conveying your strengths with the application based on your CV. Documents are returned with feedback within three business days.

4. Application Reviewing: The Deep Reading

I am investigating spelling/grammar, overall flow, completeness (you are answering all the questions), overall blind spots (and how to correct them), the project proposal makes sense, is feasible, benefits to host and home country are clearly articulated, and vital cultural preparedness/intercultural competence, local project fit etc. I also ensure you are really conveying your strengths with the application based on your CV. Documents returned with feedback within three business days.

6. Additional Reading
After I have vetted your application materials and you have made all your final revisions, I can do an additional reading to ensure your project is ready to submit to Fulbright. I can suggest any additional final edits, if needed. This service is free with the Deep Reading option.

7. Practice Fulbright Interview
Some Fulbright grants have an interview component as part of the application process. This practice interview is 15-minutes in length, with 30-45 minutes of feedback and coaching as an immediate follow-up.

8. Teaching Excellence/Best Practices for English Teaching Assistants (ETA) Workshop.
​
This 90 minute workshop (offered remote/Zoom and in person) is designed to better prepare ETAs for the university classroom abroad. The focus is on active learning techniques in the classroom, flipping the classroom, developing a teaching philosophy, community guidelines, student feedback, working with tech., forming an online support community etc. The interactive presentation is 75 minutes in length with 15 minutes for open Q/A at the end. This presentation was conducted at the Romania Fulbright Orientation in Bucharest, 2023 (and updated since).
