I am about to begin my Fulbright at Penn State University, and David Gracon’s guidance was key in this achievement. I first met Professor David Gracon during my university years, when he came to teach Media Literacy as a Fulbright exchange lecturer. I still remember every single class : thought-provoking lectures, engaging delivery, and creative assignments that always pushed us a little outside the box (sometimes way outside). Most importantly, he always saw us as individuals, respecting our different interests and encouraging us to grow in our own ways. I was so inspired by his course that I ended up earning an individual scholarship for outstanding academic achievement and commitment, a proof that his teaching was not only memorable, but also transformative.
